Maj Gen John Brown Gordon - Assigned by Lee to hold the Bloody Lane at Antietam, Gordon was hit my Minie' balls in the shoulder, arm, and twice in the leg before finally being felled by a 5th one in the face that failed to kill him. Lee characterized him as having "splendid audacity".
