A 2nd series T53 that was probably lithographed by JT Paterson. The "Lithog'd By" statement appears on the lower left. However the "J.T. Paterson & Co." is missing from the lower right.
This is a legitimate "New Variety" - Fricke has assigned it PF 19. It is the only example known to exist - a true rarity 15.
It has one cross body fold and one corner fold. The nick on the bottom border appears to be ink erosion. The blue shading on most of the obverse is ink transfer from the back of another note. If not for the nick on the bottom border I would give this an XF. As it is I would give it a VF-XF. PMG agrees & grades it a Choice VF 35 ( their version of a VF-XF ).
