The issuance reads " Issued 9th March 1863 by RM Oates AQM 37th NC Rgt".
Only three Oates issued notes are thought to exist. Oates signed numerous documents as "AQM 37th NC Rgt", but this is the only note known in which he included the "37th NC Rgt" statement.
A really clean choice F-VF with great borders.
I actually found one of the other two known notes for sale on a competing site. It lacks the 37th NC Rgt and is over twice the price I am asking.
The vertical picture has been color enhanced slightly. The obverse picture is true color.
