1863 date - Scroll 2 - Line goes under "Except" (Plate 2 version). The rarest T41 Whatman that exists.
The paper is VG-F with an ink burn on the top edge. The watermark is faint. When backlit, you can see the W, half of the H, half of the M and pieces of the other letters. You can see much more than that in relief on the back of the note.
The condition census only shows 2 others to exist. However, I saw another on the internet in early 2019 and auction archives show another sold in early 2018. So this is number five. With five known, it is a rarity 13 and would be CC # 5.
