When I say unknown it is unknown to me. It does not track to Thian and it does not appear in Tremmel's book of counterfeits. It is an obvious counterfeit due to the incorrect waves approaching the bow, the script "26" and the forged Hill & Payne signatures. However, the sailors hat is close the real one as is his left hand - both rare in a counterfeit. His beard and eyes are slightly off but not as much as in most of its peers. All in all one of the more perfect counterfeits I have seen of a T18.
To the best of my knowledge it is a new & unique. VF & uncut, a rare find in the strictest terms.
