PMG graded 58 - EPQ ( Choice AU ). PMG nailed the grade on this note - especially on the EPQ designation. It is extremely difficult to find Republic of Texas currency in this paper quality and with full borders.
You can see by this 300 DPI scan that the printing clarity is off the charts.
The finest grade I find in auction archives is a 55 which sold in 2011. Of the 70 A8 notes I found in the archives, only one other had a EPQ designation ( VF 30 EPQ ).
This note is near the top of the scale for a CR A8. Like almost all of its peers it is cut cancelled.
