Red ink Houston manuscript issuance. Serial number 22884, it was issued Nov 21st, 1862. This note is a VF.
The scan makes the red ink look pink. The ink is brilliant, but it is closer to the maroon side of red.
A historical comment - Serial number 22893 was manuscript issued January 31st in San Antonio. My friend Randy Shipley had that note.
